Ever found yourself in a situation where there are a a few good number of pairs of eyes are staring at you(your heart rate will be directly propotional to their numbers )......this can happpen when you are at center of a gaming activity or performing on stage or speaking out loud(Like they say "the fastest way to empty a brain is with a big mouth!!!). After it is all over you feel a pang of regret that you could have done better.
Well I have learned something, which will get me through these situations. The following situation may help me explain the point im trying to make. I usually end up being a goalkeeper when i play foot ball with my friends. ( they argue that i "may" have better control over my hands!!) So when there are often scenarios which match with the one i explained in the begining. If i stop a goal, some part of my body starts
complaining, and if i let in a goal i have face some good amount of swearing. So if you can understand the discomfort faced(by me) in my position.
To deal with it i force myself think only about the position of the ball and decide my actions with respect to it. I wash my brain off all the other thoughts. I clear my thoughts from the results of the out come . This definately increases my perfomance considerably. But it takes some concentration and practice to control your thoughts .
I hope that this little thing helps you in some manner..

Well we were in lab all the way through the lunch hour till one fifiteen some thing. i barely managed to finish my lunch and land myself in the lab course slot on time. There i worked till five thirty.
